diigo logo  Diigo is an online social bookmarking tool to assist you in research. With Diigo you will be able to:

  • Take personal notes
  • Highlight text information on web pages
  • Bookmark and save notes for further use.
  • Add tags to keep your resources organized
  • Share information with your teacher and group when using tags
  • Add comments and sticky notes to web pages (known as digital annotation)
  • Search for sites that others have bookmarked

 Directions:  Begin with #1 and work through #6 to learn more about Diigo.  In the additional tools section at the bottom of the page, you will find all of the documents from this module. Always make sure you have used and saved the documents.

Read suggestions for using Diigo for your research projects.

Manage your independent or collaborative research project using Diigo by:

  • Compiling an annotated bibliography of useful sites
  • Highlighting paragraphs you find important
  • Creating notes about why a site is significant and how you plan to use it
  • Adding sticky notes with questions for further research
#4 Create your own Diigo account. (Note: Your teacher may have created a student Diigo account for you to use in class projects.)
