INFOhio has recently purchased a new eBook collection from World Book with 1,500 titles on a variety of content areas. 

IWonder, a tool powered by INFOhio, has added fresh, new content to spark student inquiry.

As Ohio's PreK-12 Digital Library, INFOhio is ready for a new school year providing quality resources to help support schools as they accelerate learning. The instructional materials from INFOhio are available at no cost to all students, teachers, and parents. INFOhio is actively seeking new members for the INFOhio Integration Partners, or IPartners, program to boost our reach, support our efforts, and strengthen our connections.

Instructional materials matter. While securing a coherent curriculum and professional development for teachers is the first step in ensuring learning in Ohio’s classrooms, identifying high-quality supplemental materials at grade level for all learners can be helpful in increasing student engagement, meeting diverse needs, and filling instructional gaps.

When paired with a high-quality curriculum, INFOhio's quality eBooks, videos, lesson plans, instructional web tools, and training and support materials can provide engaging and innovative supplements to scaffold student growth and learning. 

INFOhio licenses Scholastic's BookFlix for all Ohio schools and families. With more than 150 pairs of fiction and nonfiction titles, this resource is not only helpful for supplementing English language arts curricula but also other content areas to build background knowledge and develop vocabulary in grades PreK-3. Use BookFlix to engage, empower, elevate, and extend student learning!

This summer, INFOhio made updates and enhancements to increase the ease of navigation and look of INFOhio's website. One of these changes was increased access to both Fetch and ISearch. Easier access to Fetch and ISearch is important for students, teachers, and families to be able to find library materials and additional materials licensed by INFOhio.

This summer INFOhio will be hosting a one-day conference, Instructional Materials Matter: Voices from the Field, on August 9, 2022. Sessions include a Keynote from the Ohio Department of Education and additional sessions from Exchange Certified Trainers on integrating quality INFOhio resources, web tools, and professional development into the various educational environments. 

GenYES Ohio is a program that prepares Ohio students to become student technology leaders through a rigorous, technology-infused leadership curriculum. This curriculum has now been added to Open Space. 

INFOhio has a new online, self-paced class added to the K-5 Digital Content Learning Pathway. Take The World Almanac for Kids Elementary class to learn more about this research database for students in grades K-5 that includes topics such as science, social studies, math, the arts, biographies, and more. After successfully completing the final quiz, earn a certificate for two contact hours.

Instructional materials matter and looking closely at the materials you use in your classrooms is important. Every Ohio student deserves the opportunity to learn from high-quality, standards-aligned instructional materials to become a resilient, lifelong learner who contributes to society.
