September 15 - October 15 is National Hispanic Heritage Month. Quality text from eBook collections provided by INFOhio supports knowledge building and vocabulary development while increasing awareness and understanding of the contributions, history, and achievements of Hispanic/Latino Americans.

A high-quality curriculum is essential for all content areas, but supplemental resources are still important for students. INFOhio provides a variety of materials, including eBooks, that can be easily accessed and are available at no cost. These eBooks support high-need topics such as financial literacy, digital literacy, STEM, careers, and Holocaust and genocide studies. Titles in the collections also meet student interest, with eBooks on cars, the supernatural, pets and animals, and celebrities. The purchased collection from INFOhio supplements quality curricula, helping students increase vocabulary and build background knowledge. The eBooks help differentiate instruction and engage readers with fun titles to read for pleasure. 

Whether you teach elementary, middle, or high school students, when it comes to observing Constitution Day, INFOhio has quality instructional materials to support learning. September 17th is a day to remember our country's foundations and to help our students at all levels learn more about what it means to be "the land of the free and the home of the brave."

INFOhio's most recent purchases with funding from Future Forward Ohio include more than 100 Spanish titles from Capstone, more than 80 phonics titles, more than 20 bilingual (Spanish/English) titles, more than 30 STEM titles from Gale, and more than 200 professional learning titles and student-facing eBooks about science and technology from EBSCO.  

This summer, INFOhio's Library Services Platform was upgraded to Symphony 4.1.1. With this upgrade, users of WorkFlows will need to update to the newest WorkFlows application.

With funding from Future Forward Ohio, INFOhio has purchased hundreds of professional learning eBooks. Three of these titles were featured by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in the Professional Learning for Mathematics webinars.

Created by Hamilton County ESC STEM Coach, Chris Anderson, OutSCIder Classroom is a video series that teaches students science and environmental stewardship through our National Parks. 

With funding from Future Forward Ohio, INFOhio has purchased several thousand eBooks and videos for students in grades PreK-12. These eBooks and videos are simultaneous access and multi-use, making it easier for students to read and watch what they want, when they want it. Each age and grade band has a collection of eBooks and videos for student browsing. 

INFOhio is purchasing and licensing high-quality, digital, teaching and learning content for the 2024-2025 school year that all Ohio PreK-12 students, parents, families, and teachers can use at school, home, and on the go. This article will be updated as additional information is available.
