GrowNextGen Resources Added to Open Space

Author // INFOhio Staff Wednesday, 28 February 2024

107 instructional resources from GrowNextGen, a project of the Ohio Soybean Council, have been added to Open Space. Among the resources, there are 22 student-facing interactive science and biology lessons and 85 units–each with multiple lessons with alignment to Next Gen Science Standards (NGSS).

In the Water Quality unit, learners complete an interactive lesson, conduct research on careers related to water quality, and use technology to investigate impacts on water in the local neighborhood. In a standalone lesson on Animal Nutrition, students learn the basics of the seven major classes of nutrients, see example digestive systems, and learn about careers in animal nutrition. The lessons feature text, images, a read-aloud option, and pre- and post-tests.
